Alternative Lundy DXpedition

Lundy Island to be Activated despite our Absence

Although we are probably the longest serving activators of Lundy Island, having been operating there most years since 1990, we know that other individuals and clubs/organisations also make the pilgrimage, in fact there was a recent expose by one such group in RadCom

Brian G4CIB and Leta G4RHK of the Gloucester Amateur Radio and Electronics Society are regular visitors and we have crossed over with them on a couple of occasions when our week has been either immediately before or immediately after theirs and we have worked each other on several occasions, once when we were operating GB0SDR from Midsomer Norton for railways on the Air.

Although we are not making a trip to Lundy in 2017, opting instead to activate Clytha Castle from 30 June – 6 July, Brian and Leta will be so the opportunity to work the island will still occur in 2017.

Brian and Leta will be making their trip to Lundy Island between 09-09-2017 and 16-09-2017.
