Despite problems with the Service Module Radio which led to the untimely cancellation of Series 30 from the ISS, ARISS have determined that UHF 70cm operations remain viable despite not being able to diagnose, as far as we are aware, the cause of the problems on 2m. So, in a departure from the norm, Series 31 will be Robot 36 via UHF. Have fun but watch out for that Doppler Shift!

Numerous social media reports were quickly received after about 2 hours into Series 30 that SSTV Transmissions had stopped. ARISS have been investigating this for a couple of days and have been forced to scrub the activation period

The ARISS team plans two short SSTV activiations in October 2025, each running from Friday to Monday (unless extended).

Participants who receive and submit at least one SSTV image to the gallery can earn electronic award diplomas.

FRAM2Ham #SSTV #ISS Simulation

FRAM2 is a manned Low Earth Orbit mission that will insert into a Polar Orbit around the Earth. The manned mission will be in operation for 3 – 5 days in March 2025 from a SpaceX Dragon spacecraft and will be transmitting SSTV on the 70cm band. ARISS have partnered with the FRAM2 mission to create FRAM2Ham including an engaging competition for students aged under 25.
