RSGB Club of the Year 2016 #3 – 3rd Place Nationally

3rd Place and only the second time we have entered

So Andy G7KNA, our erstwhile Secretary, made the trip to National Hamfest at Newark at the end of September to represent the Club at the presentation for National Club of the Year.

Representatives from all of the National finalists were present and a good sized crowd gathered at the RSGB stand to witness the final results.

We came third, leaving with £50 of RSGB vouchers, a testament to the dedication of our members in turning out for Special Events, taking part in activities and those involved in training or simply welcoming newcomers to the Club and the hobby

We are very proud to have taken part, winning our regional heat was a good result and making it to the national Final was the icing on the cake. Congratulations to all of the Clubs that took part especially Barry ARS who were declared overall winner.

We hope to be taking part again next year.
